Products from zero. Software, apps and automations that do a real job for real people. Ship it, then sharpen it.

I do many things. Right now I'm building software
I'm Mikey. By day I'm a software engineer at FCSA, and I work in security too. That's where TacDesk came from: one system for UK security firms covering rotas, guard tours, SIA checks and live dispatch, built by someone who's done the shifts.
Before all that I founded Nightlife Cambridge, running club nights and writing about the scene. It's mostly retired now, but the blog lives on here. I'm also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, which helps when you keep starting things.

The Freelancer & Contractor Services Association. I build the software behind compliance across the UK contractor supply chain.

Security guard management software for UK firms. SIA licence checks, ACS compliance, guard tours, rotas and live dispatch in one system.

Finding and creating the best nights all through the week. Club nights, guides and reviews across the city. Now mostly retired.

90+ posts on where nightlife in Cambridge and the UK is heading, from the industry, the booth and the door. Archived here.

On the ground in UK security, and building the tools the industry runs on. Real shifts make for better software.
Two companies, a run of club nights and more side projects than is sensible. If there's a gap, I'll probably try to build a business in it.
